In this section, I wanted to give you a little background as to how I went about starting Kenta's Walk, and also show you some of my gear and resources I use when I travel around the world.
Back in July of 2015, Phuong and I travelled to Tokyo, Japan. This was a very special trip as it was one we have been planning for over a year. We just did not manage to find the right time for both of us to travel, but after doing a lot of research and searching for flight deals, we finally decided the dates and flew to Japan.
Prior to this trip, we were already thinking of being creating vlogs for my trip, as I thought it was something interesting to share with my fellow friends, and to the world via YouTube. And so that is exactly what I did. I went out there to purchase a new video camera - a Sony Handycam (one of the cheapest model) as I was a little tight on budget. From my recordings, I have uploaded 10 episodes of vlogs of my visit to Tokyo, which I will slowly introduce in this Kenta's Walk blog as well.
Now, I am venturing around to share my travel and food discoveries around Sydney (where I currently live), Hong Kong (where I spent my childhood) and Tokyo.
Now, let's talk about the gear I use when I'm travel and blog/vlog:
My main camera is the Sony WX500 Compact Digital Camera. I use this for both photos and videos. It's an extremely compact camera that is a perfect companion when travelling, whilst producing great quality content. In addition to my Sony camera, I also use my iPhone 6 Plus from time to time to share quick photos on Instagram and Twitter. And finally, my main computer I use to edit my videos, and write my blog is my 15 inch MacBook Pro (2010). Though it may be an old laptop, the internals have been upgraded since and it's just as fast as any new laptop.
My Web Tools.
